The C.P group (Thailand) is one of the world-class enterprises in the field of animal feed. In Vietnam, C.P and Cargill (USA) are currently holding almost 30% market share of animal feed (Source: baodautu.vn). Both of them are using animal feed national technical regulation conformity certification service provided by VinaCert.
VinaCert audited and granted animal feed conformity certifications to C.P. Vietnam Corporation – Xuan Mai branch- for the first time in 2012. After 3 years of maintaining quality assurance condition, at end of May 2015, C.P Xuan Mai continued to use the trusted VinaCert certification service.
On the 3rd of June 2015, VinaCert audit team arrived at the C.P animal feed manufacturing factory at Xuan Mai, Ha Noi and performed recertification assessment for 40 products. The audit team includes: Mr. Nguyen Nam Son – Team leader, Mr. Nguyen Sy Tram – Chairman of VinaCert certification council, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh – Quality Director, Mr. Pham Ngoc Tran – VinaCert adviser and Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung – Auditor.
Welcoming and working with the VinaCert Audit team, from C.P there were: Mr. Vu Anh Tuan- Deputy Director of C.P. Vietnam Corporation, Mr. Nguyen Cong Vien – Factory Director, Ms. Dao Thi Hong – Business division, Mr. Hoang Duy Giao – Head of quality assurance, Ms. Le Thi Mai Huong – Laboratory.

After the opening meeting, the audit team, the factory director and manufacturing manager visited the whole factory including material receiving area, material warehouse, animal feed manufacturing area, product warehouse, heat supply system, steam boiler and supporting systems, control room, etc. The auditors witnessed the manufacturing process, interviewed and gathered more information from factory staffs and worker directly working here.

After the on-site assessment at the factory, the audit team accessed documents, records of the quality management system to assess the compliance to procedures based on ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 22000 which C.P. is using. This aimed to find the conformity evidence of the C.P. Xuan Mai to ISO standards as well as national standards and regulations on animal feed.

C.P. Xuan Mai has a really big scale, therefore the system of records and management documents is plenty and complex. So the auditors had to work with high intensity. However, thanks to the stringent and methodical implementation of quality management of C.P. Xuan Mai and the active cooperation of related departments, VinaCert audit team could follow the schedule.

At the end of the working session, the audit team had a closing meeting with leaders of C.P. Vietnam Corporation, leaders of the Xuan Mai manufacturing factory and representatives of related departments.

Speaking at the closing meeting, Mr. Nguyen Nam Son, the team leader of the audit team, on behalf of VinaCert, thanked C.P. Vietnam Corporation for trusting and using the VinaCert animal feed conformity assessment.
“The audit team notices that C.P. has applied the most updated quality management system in a proper way reaffirming the company brand as well as the product quality. C.P fulfills all the elements related to legal requirements. However, during the assessment session, the team also pointed out some findings.” Mr. Nguyen Nam Son said.
The auditors respectively pointed out nonconformity points and their improvement proposal to Xuan Mai C.P.; so this enterprise can identify causes and give corrective actions for producing products with assured quality and being more convenient in records management and production monitoring.
On behalf of C.P. Vietnam Corporation, Mr. Vu Anh Tuan, Deputy director fully agreed with the conclusions of the audit team and committed to implement required corrective actions as fast as possible. He also thanked the audit team in particular and VinaCert in general for the enthusiastic cooperation as well as giving nonconformity points and their legitimate improvement proposals.
Mr. Vu Anh Tuan said: “VinaCert is the certification organization that C.P trusted in and use the service for C.P factories at Dong Nai headquarter, and branches in Binh Duong, Tien Giang, Binh Dinh, Ha Noi and Hai Duong. The quality of service provided by VinaCert really satisfies C.P. so the Xuan Mai factory in Ha Noi continued choosing VinaCert for the recertification audit. Soon, C.P. will have more factories and hopes to continue to cooperate with VinaCert.”
Animal feed national technical regulation conformity certification service of VinaCert increasingly affirmed its quality and gets high appreciations from its customers, especially those in large scale. Trust and long-term cooperation of customers are the motivation for the growth of VinaCert.
