VinaCert has constantly innovated and improved its activities to accompany with enterprises for the purposes of sustainable development, meeting requirements of technical standards/regulations, improving competence and expanding their export opportunity. Especially in recent years, VinaCert has made impressions with domestic and international achievements.
1. International accreditation of competence
2015 has a variety of events of Vietnamese economic integration, such as signing of Vietnam - Custom Union of Russian, Belarus and Kazakhstan Free Trade Agreement, preparation for joining in Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), ASEAN Economic Community, etc. When Vietnam becomes a member of Free Trade Agreements, the enterprises would have many advantages in tariff, but they would have to face more strict technical barriers.
Foreseeing the market trend and getting ready for integration, since 2014, VinaCert has oriented to apply for accreditation from two reputed international accreditation bodies, A2LA and JAS-ANZ.
On November of 2014, the American Association of Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) – a member of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) – accredited VinaCert’s laboratory in Hanoi and Can Tho to be adequately competent according to ISO/IEC 17025:2005. With this accreditation, up until now VinaCert is the first and only organization in Vietnam has laboratory accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 by an international accreditation body.
Then, on January of 2015, the International Accreditation Body JAS-ANZ – a founding member of International Accreditation Forum (IAF) accredited VinaCert to be adequately competent according to ISO/IEC 17021:2011, ISO/IEC 17065:2012 and ISO/TS 22003:2007.

By international accreditation, VinaCert has enough terms and competence to participate in conformity assessment activity of Vietnamese and International bodies. Especially, certification and testing results of VinaCert are accepted worldwide.

2. Expanding the domestic designated scope.
Recently, VinaCert also has advances to expand its certification and testing scope designated by national authorities.
In particular, Ministry of Industry and Trade has designated VinaCert to be inorganic fertilizer testing organization. (Decision No. 4352/QD-BCT)
Department of Livestock Production – Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has designated VinaCert to be quality conformity certification organization of export and import animal feed. (Decision No. 211/QD-CN-TACN)
Plant Protection Department –Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development designated testing laboratory of VinaCert to be quality plant protection products testing laboratory. (Decision No. 2581/QD-BVTV-QLT)

3. Consolidating and expanding operation scale.
VinaCert has operated on below backgrounds:
- - Branch offices across the country (Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh and Can Tho).
- - Testing and analytical laboratories of product quality.
- - Food Safety Institute (FSI)
- - Information, Research and Development Center (IRC) searches information of science technology development trend over the world for orientation of sustainable development.
To meet customer needs, VinaCert constantly enlarges its scale of operation. Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh offices were invested and moved to new locations with modern infrastructure and larger usable area.
VinaCert continuously upgrades Ha Noi analytical center by expanding the area and buying new facilities for microbiological room. The laboratory is internationally standardized in a closed procedure from receiving sample to returning result to customers. Recently, VinaCert has just established an additional analytical center in Ho Chi Minh. Therefore, up until now, VinaCert has three analytical centers in Ha Noi, Can Tho, and Ho Chi Minh with and the most modern equipment.
4. Standardize human and technological resources.
VinaCert attracts a young and enthusiastic work force with high qualified. In addition, VinaCert also has deeply experienced advisers who are always willing to guide and share their experiences to youngers. Currently, the total number of staffs working in VinaCert is 160 people, with Bachelor, Master and PhD degrees.
VinaCert always focuses on enhancing staff competence to increase quality of services. VinaCert regularly organizes training sessions for its auditors and technicians. Besides, other activities such as joining proficiency testing, equipment calibration have been also invested.
VinaCert Certification and Inspection JSC was established with the mission to support the quality management activity, to accompany enterprises in the conformity assessment of the technical standards/regulation, and to create favorable condition for the circulation of goods in the domestic market and export. So far, VinaCert has done well its responsibilities with the reliability of customers and State agencies, and accreditation from the international bodies.
During 8 years of establishment and development, there were significant challenges that VinaCert had to encounter. However, in any circumstances, VinaCert always getting the reliability and support of customers and partners. That is a great motivation for VinaCert moving ahead. In the context of economic integration, VinaCert will continuously develop and improve for the goal of “Step by step firmly, confidently integrate ASEAN” and become one of the leading reputed conformity assessment bodies in Vietnam and the world.
