JAS-ANZ is one of the competent and first-rate reputed accreditation bodies, and is the government-appointed accreditation body of Australia and New Zealand. The scope of JAS-ANZ accreditation is certification and inspection bodies. JAS-ANZ is an active member of international organizations such as International Accreditation Forum (IAF), Multilateral Cooperative Accreditation Arrangement (MCAA), Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC) and Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC).
The assessment team leader of JAS-ANZ was Mr. Peter Lee with nearly 20 years of experience in the field of accreditation, and 2 Thailand assessors of JAS-ANZ were Mr. Yuthana Norapoompipat and Ms. Kanittha Pungsawat. The assessment and accreditation process by JAS-ANZ undergoes several stages: from preliminary assessment of application documents, then on-site assessment at the VinaCert’s Head Office in Hanoi, and witness assessment to assess the assessed competence of VinaCert auditors.
On June 30th 2014, according to "ISO 17021:2011 - Conformity Assessment: Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems", The assessors of JAS-ANZ witnessed the competence of VinaCert auditors in audit and management systems certification activities. The business organization evaluated by VinaCert auditors was Dac Khu Lien Bang Company Ltd. which was applying ISO 9001:2008 for the production of animal feed.

On July 1st 2014, according to "ISO 17065:2012 - Conformity Assessment: Requirements for bodies certifying products, processes and services", JAS-ANZ assessors witnessed the competence of VinaCert auditors in product certification activities. The business organization evaluated by VinaCert experts is Nong Tien Production, Commercial and Services Company Ltd. which was applying for certification for organic fertilizer products conforming to the Technical regulations of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

On July 2th 2014, according to "ISO 22003:2013 - Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of food safety management systems", JAS-ANZ assessors witnessed the competence of VinaCert auditors in certification of food safety management systems. The business organization evaluated by VinaCert auditors was Tan Nhat Huong Company Ltd. which was applying ISO 22000:2005 for production and business activities of instant nutrition cereal products and frozen non dairy cream.

From 4th to 5th of July 2014, JAS-ANZ would assess quality management system, records and staff competence of VinaCert in Hanoi.
At 9.am, July 4th 2014, JAS-ANZ assessors began on-site assessment at VinaCert’s Head Office in Hanoi. During the opening of the assessment program, team leader Mr. Peter Lee expressed the team’s gratitude to VinaCert for welcoming the assessment team and summarized the assessment plan in the next 2 days. He stressed the importance of ISO 17065:2012, 17021:2011 and ISO 22003:2013 for certification bodies in the field of certification.

On July 5th 2014 (from 8.am to 9:30.am), on behalf of the assessment team, Mr Peter Lee stated some preliminary results of the 4-day assessment process. He commented that the quality management system of VinaCert was built relatively adequate to meet requirements of ISO 17021:2011, ISO 17065:2013 and ISO 22003:2013; VinaCert auditors are competent, experienced and performs professional audit. However, he also pointed out some unconformities and suggested VinaCert to discuss and explain in the final meeting to review the assessment results in the afternoon on July 5th 2014.
From 9:30.am, on July 5th 2014 (today), JAS-ANZ assessors is continuously retrieving some records to assess the implementation of VinaCert in compliance with the planned procedures.
In the late afternoon of July 5th 2014, the assessment team met and presented final assessment result reports.
